Z5VPN / Quick Start

Subscriptions and Client Setup.

Set up your account and subscription first, then add the servers to your client. Once setup is complete, verify the connection by checking your exit region and trying the sites you need.

Create an Account

Open the Z5VPN user dashboard using the link below, then go to the account creation page. Z5VPN does not require an email address; create an account with a username and password. Choose a username you can remember, and use a unique password that you do not reuse on other sites. Check your details before submitting, then save your login information in a password manager so you can access the same account from other devices.

Once the account overview appears in the dashboard, you can move on. If you are still on the login screen, sign in with the username and password you just created. Creating an account and activating a plan are separate steps: opening the dashboard does not mean your plan is active. Confirm that you can access your account before placing an order to avoid switching between accounts later.

If you already have an account, there is no need to create another one. Select “Log in” in the navigation instead. Z5VPN supports unlimited simultaneous devices, so you can use the same account on computers and mobile devices. Keep your credentials secure and do not post them in public forums.

First Month Free

Choose a Plan and Complete Your Order

On the Plans page in your dashboard, compare monthly subscriptions with data packs and choose what fits your usage. Monthly plans include ¥9.9/月 with 60GB, ¥18/月 with 250GB, and ¥28/月 with 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. If you regularly work remotely or use AI tools and video services, choose based on your actual usage rather than connection time alone.

If your usage varies, consider a data package: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. Data packages remain valid until used and never expire. They work differently from monthly subscriptions, so check the billing type before placing your order; a data package does not refill monthly.

When you have chosen a plan, continue to order confirmation and check the amount and data allowance. Follow the page instructions to pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. After payment, return to the user dashboard to check the order status and plan details in your account overview. If the payment page shows that payment is complete but the dashboard has not updated yet, refresh the page and check the existing order before trying to pay again.

Z5VPN offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. See the Terms of Service for details. If you upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; check the result shown in the dashboard before proceeding. For a full pricing breakdown, visit the Plans and Pricing page, then return to the dashboard.

Choose This Plan

Get Your Subscription from the Dashboard

Once your plan is active, open the account overview in the user dashboard. Confirm that you are signed into the right account and that your plan is active, then look for the subscription copy or client import option. The subscription provides your client with the server configurations available to your account. It is not a regular web page to read in a browser or an installer. Seeing text or a download prompt when you open the subscription in a browser does not, by itself, mean anything is wrong.

If the dashboard offers a direct import option for your client, open the client first, then start the import from the dashboard. If your browser asks whether to open an app, check that it is the right one before continuing. If no prompt appears, copy the subscription link and look for subscription or configuration management in the client. The platform-specific instructions below explain where to find it.

Do not change any characters in the link or confuse it with your password. If you need to transfer it to another device you own, use a method you trust. When contacting support, describe the error message; do not show the full link in a public screenshot. If you think the link has been exposed, check whether the dashboard offers a reset option or contact support through a ticket for guidance.

If the account overview does not show an available subscription, check your order and plan status first. Do not look elsewhere for a so-called universal subscription. If the client cannot update, first confirm that the link is complete and that you are using the right account. For more troubleshooting steps, visit the Help Center.

Importing on Each Platform

First, open the client downloads page in the user dashboard and choose the Z5VPN client for your operating system. After signing in, you can get the client for Windows, macOS, Android, or Linux without purchasing a plan; an active plan is still required to use subscriptions and servers. iOS has different access requirements—see the instructions below. This page does not provide direct links to installers or subscriptions.

Windows: Start with Subscription Management

Choose the Windows desktop client in the dashboard, install it using the setup wizard, and open the app. To import your subscription, use the matching client import option in the dashboard if available. Otherwise, look for “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or a similar management page in the client. Add a remote subscription, paste the link you copied, and save it. If the app asks for a name, choose one that helps you recognize it.

After saving, update or refresh the subscription and confirm that the server list appears. Select the subscription as your current configuration. This prepares the configuration, but you still need to start the connection from the connection page. If your system asks for network permissions, confirm that the request comes from the client you just installed, then follow the prompts. Avoid running other proxy or VPN tools at the same time so you can tell which app is handling your traffic.

macOS: Authorize the App and Update the Configuration

Get the macOS client from the dashboard, then install and open it by following the download page and system prompts. The first time you run it, macOS may ask you to authorize the app or add a network configuration. Check the app's source and name before granting permission. Do not disable unrelated system security settings to bypass a prompt. If the app will not open, note the full message and look for the issue in the Help Center.

Open the subscription or configuration manager in the client, choose the option to import from a link, then paste, save, and update your subscription. If the dashboard can open the app directly, you can use that option instead. After importing, check that the server list appears, select the configuration you want, and start the connection. A change in the menu bar icon can indicate a status change, but verify access using the steps below.

Android: Allow the System to Set Up the Connection

Choose the Android client in the dashboard and install it by following your device's prompts. If you are asked to confirm the source during installation, make sure the file came from the user dashboard. Settings vary by device, so follow the prompts shown on yours. Open the app, find subscription management or the option to add a configuration, import from a link, paste the complete subscription, and update it.

When the server list appears, choose a server and tap Connect. Android may ask to set up a VPN connection. Confirm that the app is correct, then allow the request and check the connection status in the client. If the connection drops when you switch apps, check whether your system limits the client running in the background. You do not need to change every battery-saving setting just to get started. Verify the connection first, then adjust settings if an issue arises.

iOS: Check the Dashboard Access Requirements

Get the iOS client through the App Store link provided in the dashboard. The actual link is available only to users with an active, unexpired plan. In the dashboard's download page, select iOS. If you see a plan requirement, return to the account overview and check your subscription status. Do not look for installation files from untrusted sources. Once you can access the download page, follow the App Store and dashboard instructions to install the app.

Open the client and use the matching import option in the dashboard, or choose the option to add a link in the app's subscription or configuration manager. Save and update the subscription, check that the server list appears, then connect. When iOS first asks to add a VPN configuration, check the app name before authorizing it. If direct import does not open the app, confirm that the app is installed and try importing from within the client instead. There is no need to create another account.

Linux and Other Interface Differences

Z5VPN also supports Linux, and the download link is in the user dashboard. Follow the dashboard instructions for installation and setup. If the client uses different labels from this page, follow the same sequence: add the subscription, update the server list, select a configuration, and connect. For more detailed help with system permissions or connection issues, visit the Help Center. Then return here to verify your connection.

Connect and Verify Your Setup

Return to the server list in your client, choose a region that suits your needs, and connect. If this is your first time, start with a region you can easily identify; there is no need to switch frequently. Once the client shows Connected, open the network check page and see whether your exit information matches the selected region. If the check fails, follow the instructions on the page; a single failed lookup does not necessarily mean the server is unavailable.

Next, open the website or app you actually want to use and try loading a page, signing in, or completing a routine task. Consider the exit region check alongside your real-world access results: rule mode may route different sites differently, so the result on the check page may not reflect every app. If you need to understand the difference between rule mode and global mode, read the relevant Help Center guide. You do not need to adjust every setting during initial setup.

If the client says Connected but web pages still will not load, first confirm that the subscription has been updated and that you have selected an available configuration. Then try another server in the same region. Check whether other network tools are running and whether you granted the required system permissions. Change one setting at a time and test again; comparing results makes it easier to identify the cause than changing several settings at once.

If regular websites work but an AI tool or video platform reports a region, account, or payment issue, assess network connectivity separately from the platform's eligibility requirements. A working connection does not guarantee that a third-party service will allow access. For AI use, see the AI Tools guide. For content libraries, account regions, and video quality settings, read the Viewing Guide. There is no need to work through every setting during initial installation.

Once the connection works, note the subscription and server names you are using. You can repeat the import process on other supported platforms. Z5VPN supports unlimited simultaneous devices, but you still need to install the client, import the subscription, and grant system permissions on each device. If you need help, submit a ticket through the user dashboard with your operating system, the message shown by the client, and the steps you have tried. Hide your account credentials and subscription link in screenshots.
