Popular regions and route selection tips

View all routes →

The popular regions shown here are just a starting point for choosing a route. Z5VPN subscriptions cover 110+ countries and 240+ routes. Before choosing, check which regions the destination website allows, then see how the route performs on your local network. A nearby region is not necessarily faster, and a route label cannot replace testing it in everyday use.

The list below follows the order shown above, with regions and route types. Check the user panel for city-level options and currently available routes. Streaming notes describe verification methods, not guaranteed access to a platform's catalog or playback. If you need to stay signed in to a service, consider keeping a familiar region and comparing backup routes; frequent switching just to chase better-looking numbers can be counterproductive.

Evaluate route type separately from real-world performance

IEPL dedicated routes, relay routes, and direct routes describe how connections are organized, not how every app will perform. For a fair comparison, keep the device, network, and destination service the same, and observe page loads, file transfers, and persistent connections at your usual times. If only one platform reports an error, check its region and account requirements before concluding that the entire route is unavailable.

For your first setup, follow Quick Start to configure a client, then use Network Check to verify your current exit location. Pause background tasks that use your connection before testing, then check again during your normal work or streaming. A single test can help guide your decision, but it does not guarantee long-term performance.

FIELD NOTES / EXPERIENCE

Everyday details of cross-border access

From routes and devices to data usage, find the details worth knowing before choosing a subscription—all in one place.

Z5VPN's coverage and pricing are available to review. How a specific app performs depends on your network and the platform you're connecting to.

Speed matters, but so does consistency in the evening

Network performance is about more than how quickly a single download finishes. Video calls after work, browser-based resources, and services that stay connected in your editor all depend on steady requests. Z5VPN offers routes in multiple regions for comparison on the same device and at your usual times. Check how your real tasks perform before choosing a regular exit route. If performance fluctuates, repeat the test with the same conditions and change only the route; it's easier to pinpoint the cause than by changing several settings at once. Evening peak-hour performance still depends on your local network and the destination service.

Military-grade encryption, with clear limits on what it does

Z5VPN highlights military-grade encryption as a core connection security feature. Keep network transmission security separate from account security: an encrypted connection cannot replace a destination website's access controls, guarantee that a downloaded file is trustworthy, or change a third-party service's rules. Keep your username, password, and subscription details secure. Get clients and configurations through the user panel, and don't post personal subscription details in public forums. For details on how information is handled, read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Use across devices, without a device limit

Use the same subscription across your work computer, personal devices, and home computer. Z5VPN allows unlimited simultaneous devices and supports Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. Device count and data allowance are separate: unlimited devices does not mean unlimited data, so check your overall usage when choosing a plan. Verify the connection on each device, then keep the routes that work best for each one. Downloads and subscription access are available from the user panel. Returning to the same place when switching devices helps avoid using the wrong configuration or missing an update.

AI tools: prioritize a consistent exit route

When using ChatGPT or working on a project in Cursor, opening the page is only the first step. Ongoing generation, sign-in sessions, and file requests also need a steady connection. Before choosing a route, check the tool's available regions and account requirements, then compare performance in regions where it's available. For everyday work, stick with a consistent exit route rather than switching mid-task. Z5VPN provides network connectivity, not third-party AI accounts, usage credits, or memberships. Visit the topic page for troubleshooting steps related to Cursor and AI tool access.

Streaming: check the catalog and account first

Streaming depends on your exit region, how the platform identifies your connection, your account benefits, and your playback device. A successful route connection doesn't guarantee that a particular title will be available. Catalogs can differ by region, and video quality can depend on your membership tier, device, and local network. Check the title and account requirements first, then test playback in the relevant region. If you see a region notice or proxy error, note the platform's message and troubleshoot each factor instead of assuming bandwidth is the cause. The streaming guide explains regional availability, quality settings, and common error fixes.

14-day refund guarantee, with time to try the service

Cross-border access depends on your network, so decide whether it suits you by testing it with your own work and everyday activities. Z5VPN offers a 14-day refund guarantee. Review the terms before choosing a plan, then test the connection with tasks you commonly do. Check access to resources, tool sign-ins, and streaming rather than relying on a single speed-test screenshot. For help, open a support ticket from the user panel and describe your device platform, chosen region, and the situation in which the issue occurs. Don't include your password or full subscription details. See the Terms of Service for the full refund policy.

Monthly plans and data options

View all plans →

Monthly plans start at ¥9.9/month, for people who need regular access and prefer a monthly data allowance. Every plan allows unlimited simultaneous devices; the main difference is the data allowance. Choose based on what you actually do: start with a smaller allowance for reading and everyday tools, and keep an eye on usage if you regularly transfer files or stream video. Don't base your choice on device count alone.

Data resets monthly on your activation date, not at the start of each calendar month. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Check the user panel for order details and instructions. Before choosing, consider work resources, AI tools, and streaming together: all use data, and a brief test with one app doesn't predict a full month's usage.

¥158 / 300GB · ¥358 / 1000GB · ¥658 / 3000GB

Data passes never expire; use the data whenever you need it. If you mainly need cross-border access during a project, around a trip, or on an irregular work schedule, compare a data pass with a monthly plan. Focus on how often you use the service rather than treating the options as a simple tier list: ongoing use and occasional use can call for different data plans.

Plan names are just labels to help you estimate usage; they don't include memberships or exclusive app benefits from third-party platforms. Check all prices and data allowances on the full plans page, then choose based on your needs at the time in the user panel.

BEFORE YOU START / QUESTIONS

Account, connection, and billing FAQs

Get familiar with the access point and the rules before setting things up. Here are common questions about choosing a subscription. For device-specific steps, see Quick Start; for connection issues, search the Help Center.

Do I need an email address to create an account?

No email address is required; create an account with a username and password. Keep your account details secure, and double-check your username before creating the account to avoid login confusion later. The user panel is your hub for viewing plans, downloading clients, managing your subscription, and submitting support tickets.

When setting up another device, make sure you're on this site's user panel before entering your account details. Your personal subscription is configuration data; don't post the full details publicly when troubleshooting.

Can I use the service on multiple devices at once?

Yes. There is no limit on simultaneous devices. Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux are supported. See Quick Start for installation and import steps for each device; get the client from the user panel.

Device count and data allowance are separate. When using several devices, keep track of the plan's total data and check that each device connects through the intended exit route. A connection issue on one device doesn't necessarily mean the others are affected.

What's the difference between a monthly plan and a data pass?

Monthly plans cost ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date; mid-cycle upgrades prorate the price difference for the remaining days. Data passes cost ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB, and never expire—use the data whenever you need it.

If you use the service regularly, compare the monthly data allowances. If your usage dates vary, take a closer look at data passes. Don't estimate long-term needs from a single day's usage; consider your everyday tasks and the usage records in the user panel before choosing.

Can I use AI tools and streaming services right away?

Check each platform's regional policies, account requirements, and current route performance. Z5VPN provides network connectivity, but doesn't include third-party accounts, memberships, or usage credits, and not every route will work well with every platform.

If something goes wrong, first identify whether the page won't load, the account is showing a permissions notice, or the content is region-restricted. Keep other conditions the same while comparing routes to narrow down the cause. See the AI topic page and streaming guide for more information.

Which payment methods are supported, and what's the refund period?

Pay with Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. A 14-day refund guarantee is available. Before paying, check the billing option, data allowance, and order details. See the Terms of Service for the full refund rules.

For help with an order or connection, submit a support ticket through the user panel. Include your device platform, any error message, and what you were doing. Don't include your password or full subscription details.

DESK NOTES / JOURNAL

Setup guides and testing methods

View all articles →

Choosing a route doesn't have to mean memorizing a string of technical terms. These practical notes explain subscriptions, nodes, and traffic routing through everyday examples, and show how to compare performance on your own network. Use the methods to build a consistent way to evaluate options, not as a guarantee that you'll get the same results as someone else. For platform-specific rules, also check the platform's current guidance.

For your first setup, start with the Windows guide or terminology primer, then move on to the app or service you want to access. If you're already connected and just want to compare routes, begin with the speed-testing guide and record results under the same conditions. Notes from your own setup will be more useful for future decisions than an isolated speed figure.
